We sleep a bit late and prepare to meet our guide for the last food tour of our European visit. We start our 3 hour food extravaganza at 11am - just the three of us with a Greek guide who hails from the island of Lesbos off the Turkish coast. She takes us for Greek coffee, pastries, fish market fare, a traditional Greek meat/cheese platter and more - we are officially in a food coma although Jeorgia did score a bunch of mussels since Grandma isn’t a fan!
After the tour, it’s off to some shopping where, among other things, we find a Greek map dating from the early 1800’s to add to our collection at home. In the process we find an ocean of Vespas and motorcycles that scored the one photo of the day in the header to this post.
We find a repeat dinner at the gyro place from yesterday - still awesome!
We wrap the day at, you guessed it, the lobby bar. Breeze blowing, music playing, mid 70’s . . . . .
