Today, after a somewhat disappointing breakfast at the hotel, we hit two iconic stops in Paris. We start out at the Louvre where we have a relatively early 10am entry booked. Still SO MANY people but far fewer than when we exited 90 minutes later! We make the obligatory Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo stops and wonder around for a bit. Hell, we thought the Brits had done all the pillaging in Egypt and Greece but the French sure gave it a go as well!

We retire to the hotel for some refreshments, cleanup and rest before the afternoon festivities at Gustavo Eiffel’s little spot on the river. We have tickets to the top and of course there are the usual shockingly high number of people and wait times. But, it’s all worth it as we have 6:30pm dinner reservations at the Madame Brasserie on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower - stunning city views and really outstanding food. Jeorgia is able to find cocktails to substitute for the wine she doesn’t find as appealing. In the end, we retire to the lobby bar for a night cap. Hopefully a good night’s rest will help cure what is ailing some of the team.
