Barcelona is a huge metropolis with a young populace, driving music, and wonderful food (this sentence drafted by Rick Steves).  In an attempt to cover as much territory as possible, we decided to divide and conquer, with our youngest member staying at the hotel for a workout (egads!) and pool time.  The three old folks took a tour bus to get a general overview of many areas of the city, particularly because much of Barcelona is closed on Sunday; ate a late, light, and very good lunch in a square off La Rambla; and then joined Colin back at the hotel to laze about near the pool and compare tan lines. It is sometimes best to keep fond memories and not try to recreate them; the restaurant we chose to return to for dinner was a bit disappointing.  This was not our best meal ever.  After yesterday's dinner at Bar del Pla it was going to be a tough comparison in any case - we had an outstanding meal there.

This was a day to avoid shredding feet and allow the boys to catch a breath.  Tomorrow we tackle La Sagrada Familia and some better meal choices recommended by friends.
